the kingston museum of contemporary arts is a multi-use artspace in the rondout neighborhood of kingston, ny.
exhibitions change monthly and there is an opening reception on the first saturday evening of each month. other semi-regular events include film screenings, readings, live music, book swaps, etc.
our shows often feature outsider art or work with a strong social commentary. like the artwork, kmoca itself has a versatile nature: it's a satellite art space for nyc, but also a neighborhood joint.
kmoca was started in autumn 2005 by adam snyder and aimee gardner in a 6x12 studio in midtown kingston. the first openings were a little crowded, so kmoca moved to an old storefront downtown.
kmoca is currently located at 103 abeel street and is run by adam snyder and deborah degraffenreid along with new partner michael asbill. others have made big contributions to kmoca over the years, most notably anne & brian early. the kmoca story continues... |
